...TIME is the stuff of which life is made of!
P.S....the 5 minutes kitchen timer video is to impress that unless one studies at home under pressure of time, how can perform under pressure of time in the exams?
...the method described below has been extremely beneficial to UGs, Interns, JRs, SRs, PGs and others.
...good to set a target for every 5 minutes, to study or revise, say 10 pages or 10 MCQs. This 5 minutes tick-tick video can be saved on mobile and played to finish those 10 pages or MCQs. It will keep under pressure of time to read while preparing. The target can be varied according to the subject matter.
...while playing the tick-tick video, the tick-tick sound will reach the ears, while the eyes will be focused on the book or any reading material or internet (Google searched material). The thought that time is passing by and so much is still left to read, will race the mind and the heart will also beat faster. One needs to sit straight and breath deep through nose and keep reading.
...Moreover, syllabus will finish much before exam date and can revise 4 times in the remaining time.
...say, something requires 60 minutes to read under pressure of time. For the first revision it will require half the time, 30 minutes. Second revision will require further less time, half of previous time, 15 minutes. Third revision will require further less time, half of the previous time, 8 minutes. The fourth revision will require only 4 minutes.
...Therefore, something which takes 60 minutes to study initially, requires for 4 times revision only 30+15+8+4=57 minutes; nearly equal to the first study time.
...the 4 revisions in just 57 minutes will give immense confidence and even before exam can say with confidence that not only will pass but with the best grade. This is the miracle of preparing and 4 times revising under pressure of time!
...the first reading of anything must be just with the intention to read through, not to understand or memorise. The second reading subsequently must be from the end. Say, first time someone reads page 1 to 10, the second reading must be in reverse direction page 10 to 1. This count down method comes easy on the mind. The third reading must be again forward page 1 - 10. The fourth can be in reverse direction again. The fifth reading can be on a later time.
...this method can be practised even by school-going kids.
