...SPACE (Sky) is the most important component of the body; next are heat (Sun) , air (Atmosphere), water (Oceans) and food (Earth), in the descending order of importance!
P.S. CRANIECTOMY was done to do decompression duraplasty; the bone flap was inserted into abdomen under skin to preserve the skull bone piece for 3 months, when it will be taken out and placed on head!
DURA was opened and a patch was used to stitch the dura such that more SPACE was created for the brain to expand during cerebral oedema such that secondary brain injury can be minimised
...the 18 years old male had fallen from a truck and injured right side of head; suffered left side brain contusion (counter coup) and surrounding brain oedema; which was causing midline shift and brain stem compression, which could have ended into brain death!
..."The Monro–Kellie hypothesis. The pressure–volume relationship between ICP, volume of CSF, blood, and brain tissue, and cerebral perfusion pressure (CPP) is known as the Monro–Kellie doctrine or the Monro–Kellie hypothesis. ... These buffers respond to increases in volume of the remaining intracranial constituents."
